Raise a Glass (and a Fork): Vote for (one of) the 100 Best Pubs in the UK 2025

02 Sep 2025

Alright FoodNoise fam, time to limber up those voting fingers because the great pub grub showdown is here. That’s right, the hunt for the Top 100 Pubs for Food has officially begun, and you — yes, you with the crumbs on your jumper — get to decide who makes the cut.

Why your vote matters

Now, we know this is serious business. Pubs aren’t just watering holes; they’re temples of pie, havens of roast potatoes, and, if you’re really lucky, gateways to sticky toffee puddings that’ll make you question every life choice that came before. But with hundreds of worthy contenders across the UK, how on earth do you narrow it down?

Well, luckily, we’ve done some of the legwork for you (someone had to, right?). Over the last few months, we’ve been gallivanting across God’s Own Country and beyond, fork in one hand, pint in the other, to bring you a few suggested favourites. Think of us as your friendly pub-food Sherpas, guiding you up the mountain of gravy-soaked greatness.

Spotlight on The Plough at Wombleton

First up, our not-so-secret favourite: The Plough at Wombleton. If you’ve read our glowing review here or our list of five reasons why The Plough should be your next food adventure, you’ll know this isn’t just a pub. It’s a full-blown flavour pilgrimage. From knockout Sunday roasts to dishes that make you want to hug the chef, The Plough has “Top 100” written all over it. And frankly, if it doesn’t make the final list, we might need to stage a sit-in armed only with Yorkshire puddings.

More Pub Food Favourites Worth your vote

Of course, The Plough isn’t the only worthy nominee. We’ve also highlighted a handful of other gems in our guides — from the cosiest pubs in Yorkshire (perfect for winter hibernation) to the best Father’s Day pubs of 2025 (because nothing says “cheers, Dad” quite like a steak and ale pie the size of his head).

But enough from us. The power is in your hands. Cast your vote, champion your favourite foodie watering hole, and help crown the kings and queens of UK pub dining. Just remember — great responsibility comes with great pint-glass refills.

So go on. Vote early, vote often (okay, maybe just once), and may the best beer-battered haddock win.
