This Autumn, Bill’s returns to its roots with their Charity Vegetable Drive
01 Oct 2017
It really is our favourite foodie time of the year! It’s Autumn. That time when fresh, seasonal vegetables taste the best in our humble opinion. And it seems as though our friends over at Bill’s are in agreement with us.
Not only are they currently serving up the best seasonal fare (as ever), but they’ve gone one step further this Autumn and in collaboration with the Alexandra Rose Charity, they are kindly donating 1kg of fresh vegetables to low-income families for every person that orders the Roasted Butternut Squash and Lentil Salad starter from their new (quite awesome) seasonal autumn menu.
The initiative kicked off during British Food Fortnight on the 23rd September and will run until the 23rd October at Bill’s Restaurants nationwide.
…and from the mouth of the man himself, Bill that is…
“I’ve grown up planting, pruning and picking fruit and vegetables and they have been the order of the day at Bill’s since day one. We are constantly experimenting with exciting ways of using seasonal vegetables in our dishes and felt we needed to share these wonderful ingredients with families who may not otherwise be able to afford them. The autumn harvest is always a season of generosity and abundance and we are so pleased to be able to help those in need.”
But don’t feel limited to the one dish, Bill’s new Autumn menu also includes a range of British dishes making the best of seasonal fruit and vegetables, such as Rustic Butternut Squash Stew, Braised Lamb Shank with mustard mash, kale and red wine gravy and Oven Roasted Ginger and Sesame Cauliflower Steak with toasted fregola, roasted cherry tomatoes and rich vegetable gravy.
Just a few of the reasons to get involved with Bill’s this Autumn.
