AA Rosette 2024: Best Yorkshire Restaurants and Pubs Honoured with Prestigious AA Hospitality Awards

Each year, AA Rated Trips highlights the best of the best Yorkshire restaurants (well, across the whole of the UK if we’re being honest). In a ceremony hosted by TV presenter Angelica Bell, a select group of businesses receive Rosettes in recognition of their exceptional hospitality and cuisine.
The award program, which kicked off in 1956, was created to evaluate the quality of food served by restaurants and hotels. Establishments that receive three, four, or five Rosettes represent the top 20 percent of award recipients. And our best Yorkshire restaurants performed rather well this year.
These awards are determined based on reviews conducted by one or more restaurant inspectors, who bring extensive experience in assessing food and service quality.
Several of the best Yorkshire restaurants were honoured with Rosettes and excellence awards, including The Angel at Hetton, Pignut in Helmsley, and The Old Deanery in Ripon.

Rebecca Layton, Director of The Old Deanery, said, “To receive this award less than a year after our re-brand is the result of a lot of hard work by the entire team, and we are thrilled to have been recognized in this way. Our goal was to rejuvenate The Old Deanery into a must-visit destination restaurant with rooms and further establish Ripon as a fantastic city to visit. We hope this award encourages people to visit our lovely city and stay and dine at The Old Deanery when they do!”
