Get Festive @ Charlotte’s W5, Ealing
04 Dec 2017
Looking for a new West London hangout?
The latest addition to Charlotte’s Group, Charlotte’s W5, is perfect for after work drinks or if you want to cosy up on a date in their new Winter Warming Terrace, which runs until the end of January. Find out what all the fuss is about, right here, right now! Here are 5 reasons you should hot foot it out west…
1) Hot cocktails
Boozy winter tipples always go down well, and the traditional taste of mulled wine or a Bailey’s hot chocolate is never anything but soothing. But, if you’re looking for something a bit more extravagant, the Hot Serves at The Winter Warming Terrace are a must try. Launched in collaboration with Sipsmith’s, the menu includes a delightfully fruity take on mulled wine in the form of the Winter Sloe Gin, which has a touch of cinnamon, star anise and apple. The Winter Negroni is not for the faint-hearted and the amount of alcohol alone is enough to warm your cockles! Our favourite by far, had to be the Hot Espresso Martini, made from Sipsmith’s Sipping Vodka, Electric coffee and vanilla cream.
2) The Food
Provenance is celebrated here, as is sustainability with complimentary filtered still and sparkling water on offer. British dishes line the menu with a wide range of options suitable for everyone, from the meat or fish grill, to salads and grains as well as pasta dishes such as the Ricotta Ravioli with roasted pumpkin, kale and sage butter.
3) The Venue
Built in a converted Victorian stable block, Charlotte’s boasts both large banquette seating and a small intimate dining experience in a light and airy setting with warming golden touches dotted around the vicinity. Hidden away in Dicken’s Yard, this is a gem that will not stay secret for long. Open from morning to midnight, Charlotte’s W5 is a cafe, bar, restaurant and even a work space or somewhere to hold events.
4) The Vibe
Charlotte’s has a welcoming atmosphere, whether you’ve turned up for drinks, dinner or both. It’s a place to relax and unwind with friends after a long hard week at work, with service that really goes the extra mile.
5) That Festive Feeling
The Winter terrace boasts a fabulously festive feel, with Christmas trees, and fairy lights galore. To combat the frightfully cold weather, blankets, hot water bottles and hot chestnuts are also on offer to warm you up and make you feel that little bit more cosy. Definitely no frozen vibes here!
