Flame On At The Andaz London Liverpool Street

Burn baby, burn baby disco inferno! Is probably NOT what Londoners were shouting back in September 1666 on that fateful day when The Great Fire ravaged the streets of our glorious capital. As most of us will know, a bakery on Pudding Lane in the City is renowned as the starting point of the disaster and the rest, as they say, is history.

Just a hop, skip and jump away from Pudding Lane is the Andaz London Liverpool Street and in commemoration of the fire all those years ago, the hotel has created a host of limited edition menus to be tasted at Eastway, George Pub and Catch Lounge and they are available all throughout September.

Options include the Rhumboozle (Captain Morgans, espresso, sugar syrup, angostura bitters served in a martini glass), the Mediteavel (Cold breakfast tea, Kummell, Bombay gin, peach bitters, walnut bitters, honey), the Dessert special (Orange cake, lemon curd and raspberries) and the (rather large) Great Fire of London Burger which is a beef patty, smoked cheddar, crispy bacon, chilli jam, burnt onions served in a home baked black ash bap. Team FoodNoise headed to Eastway to try out the burger and for £18, a welcome cocktail is thrown in for good measure.
