Havana Good Time @ Little Havana, Camden

Cuban | 22 Nov 2017

Sometimes, you just need somewhere warm with a taste of the tropics to lift your spirits in these cold, dark winter months. So, if you're looking somewhere that can provide you with an array of Cuban food, cocktails and music, all in NW1. Hey presto, you found it...

Chef Raul Jerez Rodriguez is a Havana native, and along with Chef Pedro José Martínez Ferre and Raul’s sister Norma, it’s a family affair at Little Havana. Not many people know what real Cuban cuisine is, well, get your butts over to Camden and you’ll be able to see what all the fuss is about. Highlights include chicharrones de cerdo (traditional Cuban pork scratchings); tamales Cubanos (ground corn tamale wrapped in corn husk); croquetas de bacalao (salt cod fritters topped with crispy cod skin). Head over at the weekend for a leisurely lunch or even trot along on a Tuesday evening or Sunday afternoon and get your salsa on. We don’t know about you, but we’re sold already.
