Caribbean Classics @ the all-new Cotton’s, Vauxhall

Caribbean | 14 Sep 2017

The capital’s longest running collection of Caribbean eateries is finally opening in the south. A St George’s Wharf in Vauxhall plays home to the latest outpost of FoodNoise favourite, Cotton’s.

The 14th September saw the launch of the new venue that has taken the exotic vibes of the Caribbean and transferred them to Vauxhall in true tiki style. In an enviable riverside location on the south bank, with an indoor restaurant and rum shack bar, and additional seating on the sunny river-facing outside terrace for those sunny days, Cotton’s Vauxhall is a welcome new addition to the London restaurant scene.

You just have to check out Cottons’ signatures such as 48-marinated jerk chicken wings (grilled & smoked over coal, oak wood chips, hickory and pimiento); spiced salt fish fritters with green mango chutney and chilli jam; and lobster & crayfish mac n cheese. And alongside Caribbean classics such as curried mutton with fried plantain and Ital vegetable curry with rice, peas and dumplings, put a bit of Caribbean sunshine back into your lives.

And of course, it’s not all about the food. A huge rum shack bar will feature 300 various types of global rum so you can drink yours neat or in an exotic cocktail of your choice.

The weekends in Vauxhall just got a whole lot brighter.
