Flock to Bird of Smithfield this January

25 Jan 2017

Fantastic FoodNoise favourite in Farringdon Bird of Smithfield, is pulling out all the stops this January and Head Chef Tommy Boland has devised a rather awesome new menu for the New Year that well, you just have to try.

On a recent team night out to ‘Bird’, Team FoodNoise stuck with the tried and trusted bar menu, but upon hearing about the new food offering, you can bet your bottom dollar we’ll be checking out the full restaurant menu before too long.

Especially when you can kick off proceedings with a Tartare of Scottish Beef, the freshest of the fresh Isle of Orkney Scallops or push the boat out with the succulent Pan-Fried Foie Gras among other tantalising starters.

And then, seriously, it’s between the Curried Loin of Monkfish or wait for it, the Roasted Veal Sweetbread, shaved cauliflower, mimolette, toasted almond, Iberico ham and truffle for main. We’re convinced it will be as good as it sounds.

Then, why not round the night off with a Baked Pear Souffle or the quite dazzling sounding Rhubarb and Ginger Beer Fool.

If you just can’t wait, check out some sample menus here and one of our past reviews.
