Harrogate Food & Drink Festival 2024

The Harrogate Food & Drink Festival is a family-friendly event that celebrates international influences and local talent through a vibrant mix of global cuisine, independent drinks, live music, arts, and charity. The festival's core philosophy is to spotlight local talent and promote community engagement. Returning in 2024, the festival will take place in two locations. The first event is on June 29th-30th at The Stray in Harrogate. The second event is scheduled for August 24th-26th at Ripley Castle. The International Street Food section invites visitors to stroll through the lush grounds of The Stray and Ripley Castle while enjoying a diverse selection of street food from around the world. The Independent Drink section offers a relaxing spot with colorful deck chairs, where visitors can enjoy a cold beer, a glass of champagne, or a cocktail. Non-alcoholic options are also available, with fresh lemonade and juices being prepared on-site.  

The Harrogate Food & Drink festival features live chef demonstrations throughout the weekend, where top chefs from the region cook in front of the audience. This year’s lineup includes chefs from well-known establishments like The Foundry, Harewood Food & Drink Project, Rudding Park, and more.

Fine Artisan Markets present a sensory experience with various colours, flavours, and aromas. Visitors can indulge in gourmet fudge, artisan brownies, luxury cured meats, and an assortment of cheeses from some of the best producers in the UK.

Live music is another highlight, featuring a range of performances, from jazz and soul to pop and swing. Each year, over 26 performers, including solo artists, choirs, and bands, bring energy and excitement to the festival.

The Live Entertainment section offers a variety of acts, including magicians and comedians, with interactive shows suitable for all ages. Children’s entertainment includes the Magic Matt show, a free quiz, inflatable play areas, and a traditional funfair.

The Harrogate Food & Drink festival also supports mental health initiatives through its partnership with Mind in Harrogate. Through ticket donations and other activities, the festival has raised over £95,000 for the charity. Additionally, the Wellbeing area provides opportunities for relaxation, with yoga talks, independent cosmetics, and other healthy living interactions.
